Love the new...

Nike football ad

I'm a little late on this one. It made it's debut last weekend. Directed by David Fincher. Upon first viewing, I had no idea who directed it but came away with a sense that it was the work of someone I admire. As it turns out, David is one of my favorite directors whom I look to for inspiration. Can't wait for Benjamin Buttons in December.

As far as the treatment for the commercial, I love the narrative going on there and the soundtrack is a wonderful selection. It has that showdown feel to it. I have been a fan of this composition for a long time. It sometimes leads off on my ipod as I workout. Ennio Morricone scored this originally for the good, the bad, the ugly. Here is a nice live version.
