You Should Watch...

This was shot on the Red Epic Monochrome. Fincher totally commits to black and white, creating a painterly look that's almost surreal.

HBO "True Detective" Main Title by Elastic

A wonderful collage of haunting vignettes. I just feel like this evokes a great mood while managing to stay true to modern motion design.

An attempt to create a person in order to emulate the aging process. The idea was that something is happening but you can't see it but you can feel it, like aging itself.

New Work...

A Message to Humanity

'A Message to Humanity' is a call to arms.

This piece strikes at the very heart of the human condition. It outlines what the human race is capable of. We observe what it means to be alive.

We pose questions and bring to the forefront the very reason people donate their money and time.

This documentary style narrative embodies the essence that one person alone is capable of almost nothing, while a dedicated collective of people are capable of changing the world.

'A Message to Humanity' is a short film I directed to help with The United Way's donation initiatives for 2013. It was shot over the span of two weeks, entirely in Houston, Texas. It was captured with minimal crew, sometimes as small as one (me), to preserve real life happenings.

The Art of...

"Japan’s leading electronic composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda focuses on the essential characteristics of sound itself and that of visuals as light by means of both mathematical precision and mathematical aesthetics. Ikeda has gained a reputation as one of the few international artists working convincingly across both visual and sonic media. He elaborately orchestrates sound, visuals, materials, physical phenomena and mathematical notions into immersive live performances and installations."
